Chyi Yan Hshieh is Head of Business Development for APAC at Polygon Labs, a global blockchain payments company building infrastructure to move money instantly, reliably, and at internet scale. Polygon Labs is the architect of the Open Money Stack, an integrated framework of blockchain settlement, wallet infrastructure, fiat on- and off-ramps, stablecoin interoperability, and compliance tooling designed for financial institutions and fintechs. The Polygon network has facilitated over US$2 trillion in cumulative onchain value transfer, underpins approximately US$3.3 billion in stablecoin supply, and serves as the blockchain rails for global institutions including Stripe, Revolut, Calastone, and Shift4.
Based in Singapore, Chyi Yan is responsible for Polygon’s business development strategy and institutional partnerships across the Asia-Pacific region. He architected Polygon’s market entry strategies for Hong Kong, Japan, Indonesia, and the Philippines, positioning the network as the blockchain infrastructure of choice for financial institutions, conglomerates, and government-linked entities. He has led cross-functional engagements with Fortune 500 companies spanning stablecoin payment infrastructure, the tokenisation of real-world assets, and digital customer engagement, from initial proof-of-concept to live deployment at scale.
Prior to Polygon Labs, Chyi Yan served as Deputy Lead of PricewaterhouseCoopers Singapore’s Digital Assets practice, where he advised cryptocurrency exchanges, custodians, and financial institutions on risk management, operational controls, and go-to-market strategy. His earlier career in financial services assurance spans global treasury operations, merchant banking, insurance, and private equity, providing him with a deep understanding of the regulatory and operational landscape that institutional blockchain adoption must navigate.
Chyi Yan is an ICAEW Chartered Accountant and GARP-certified Financial Risk Manager. He holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He also advises several blockchain ventures on strategy and product development.
