Investor Hours FAQs

How does the matching process work?

Participants submit relevant information during registration (e.g. stage, sector, investment mandate, areas of interest). Matches are curated based on alignment and availability, and facilitated on the GFTN app. While Investor Hours aims to maximise relevance, meetings are not guaranteed and depend on mutual interest and capacity.

The content on the app is only going to be live 2 weeks before the event.
What materials should founders prepare in advance?

Founders are typically expected to have: 

  • A pitch deck (current or near-final) 
  • Clear fundraising or partnership objectives 
  • An understanding of target investors and markets 
What support is provided to participants?

Depending on the edition, participants may receive: 

  • Programme briefings and schedules 
  • Access to curated sessions and meetings 
  • Event-day coordination and onsite support 
  • Post-event follow-up coordination (where applicable) 
Do founders need to be actively fundraising to participate?

Active fundraising is encouraged but not mandatory. Founders may also participate to explore partnerships, market entry, or future capital raising. 
Is there an application or review process? Yes. Participation may be subject to review to ensure relevance, balance, and capacity constraints. This process may take up to 3 working days. 
Will there be pre-event briefings or onboarding?

Yes, all participants will receive onboarding materials, programme guides, or briefing sessions ahead of the event. 
How are no-shows or last-minute cancellations handled?

As a confirmed participant, your attendance is expected. Missing meetings without prior notice can undermine your credibility and reflect poorly not only on your company but also on the broader founder community. Investors value founders who follow through, reliability often leaves a stronger impression than the first pitch itself. 

To support this, organisers work to minimise no-shows through regular confirmations and reminders. However, we understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. Should any last-minute changes occur, please inform us promptly by email at Investorhours@gftn.com so we can make the necessary arrangements.
