What is the GFTN Forum, Japan?

The GFTN Forum convenes Japanese and global communities to engage, connect and collaborate on technology-led innovation in financial services. It is a platform for policymakers, technologists, business leaders and investors to participate in dialogues on the future growth of financial services.  

When does the GFTN Forum take place?

The GFTN Forum takes place from Monday 3 March – Friday 7 March 2025. 

Where will the GFTN Forum be held?

The Forum will take place in Tokyo and will be split between two venues, the Bellesalle Tokyo-Nihonbashi and the Kanda Myojin Shrine. There will also be side events taking place across Tokyo.

Is there a dress code?

The dress code for the event is Business Casual.

What are the ticket types available? Executive Pass: US $3,000 $1,500
Global Summit PLUS Pass: US $1,000 $500
Global Summit Pass: US $350 $175
Startup Pass: US $250 $125 (for founders of early-stage startups that have been operational for less than three years)
Government Pass: Complimentary access (subject to approval)
Media Pass: Complimentary access (subject to approval)

Does the ticket price include tax?

No it does not. 10% consumption tax will be applied when purchasing your ticket.  

What is included in the ticket?

Different tickets have curated programmes throughout the Forum, including the Global Leaders Dialogue, Exhibition Showcase, The Founders Day and Networking Opportunities.

Can I buy a ticket on-site at the event?

Yes, you may walk-in to purchase the ticket onsite via our website registration which will remain open for the duration of the event. Spaces are limited, so we would recommend securing your ticket to avoid disappointment. Tickets availability is subjected to capacity cap.

I won’t be able to the attend the event in person, can I participate virtually?

This event is in-person only but some session recordings will be released on the GFTN website post-event.

How can I nominate a speaker for the GFTN Forum?

Please complete this form if you’d like to be considered for speaker opportunities at the GFTN Forum, Japan along with other global initiatives organised by the Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN).

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else if I’m unable to attend?

Ticket transfers are subject to approval. Please reach out to hello@gftnforum.jp with your request. 

What is the cancellation policy?

A strict no cancellation policy applies. Should you need to send a replacement, please reach out to hello@gftnforum.jp with your request. 

Can I request for a refund if I cannot make it to the event?

All tickets paid are non-refundable. Please see the cancellation policy above.

I am a member of the press, can I attend, or cover the GFTN Forum?

Yes you can, you can register for a media pass here.

What time does the GFTN Forum start?

The full 2025 agenda will be released shortly.

What is the Japan FinTech Week?

Organised by the Financial Services Agency, the Japan FinTech Week comprises a number of parallel events; workshops, seminars, and networking activities, including the GFTN Forum.  

Does my GFTN Forum pass grant me access to all of the Japan FinTech Week activities?

You will need to register for certain events and purchase tickets for others. You can find out about the other events through the Japan FinTech Week website.
