Shawn Hunter is a Research Fellow at the Griffith Asia Institute. He is an accomplished international development practitioner and researcher with nearly 20 years’ experience designing and implementing economic development programs across the Asia-Pacific region. His primary expertise is on financial inclusion and the digital economy. Much of his career has centred on researching inclusive economic development issues and facilitating capacity-building initiatives to support policymakers and regulators achieve positive development outcomes. This includes over a decade of experience collaborating with government agencies and industry experts to progress initiatives within the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) that promote regional cooperation and economic integration.
