Matthew Van Niekerk

Matthew Van Niekerk, an Economist and MBA by education, has had an international career with 7 years in Tokyo in the FX business and also launched several online retailing companies. In 2006, Matthew made Belgium his home and worked at KBC as an internal consultant to senior management, as COO for the Belgian Consumer Finance business and finally as the Head of Platform Innovation at KBC Securities Bolero where he was responsible for the online retail brokerage platform. In August 2016, Matthew co-founded SettleMint - the Blockchain Transformation Company that connects the dots between people, processes and technology to accelerate value creation with blockchain. Powering banks and financial institutions to easily and rapidly build and deploy blockchain applications, while empowering teams with the skills, knowledge, methodologies, guidance and ongoing support they need.
