Dr. Wong Huei Ching is the Executive Director of Digital Strategy and Innovation at the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC). She currently oversees the development and innovation for digital markets.

Huei Ching joined the SC in 2017 and has been involved in strategic planning and market development, focusing on alternative fundraising, market vibrancy and industry digitalisation.

Prior to joining the Commission, she was with a global management consulting firm and one of Malaysia’s largest banks. She has over 17 years of experience, largely in financial services.

About this session

The roundtable will give GFIN members a focused opportunity to test and refine the Phase 1 insights from the AI Compass initiative, confirming whether the mapped structures, governance models, and emerging AI priorities reflect real regulatory practice across jurisdictions.
Through concise moderated discussion and polling, participants will surface areas of alignment and divergence, identify where global narratives may oversimplify regulatory realities, and clarify how findings should be framed for external use. The session will close with a short synthesis of what was validated and what needs further nuance for the next phases.

本ラウンドテーブルでは、GFIN加盟機関が「AIコンパス・イニシアチブ」フェーズ1で得られた知見を振り返り、実務に適切に反映されているかを確認します。整理した枠組みやガバナンスモデル、AIに関する優先課題が現実の運用とずれていないかを検証します。

簡潔なモデレーションのもとでの議論と投票を通じて、参加者は一致点と相違点を可視化し、国際的な議論が規制の実態を過度に単純化していないかを検証します。また、成果の対外的な伝え方を整理します。最後に、妥当性が確認された点と、次のフェーズでさらに検討すべき点を総括します。

Building on the discussions of DeFi in the Financial System Council’s Crypto Asset Working Group report, this session aims to explore AML/CFT measures that align with the technical nature of DeFi and raise awareness of the need for future international dialogue. Organize key issues for future policy considerations on balancing privacy protection with AML/CFT measures.

金融審議会「暗号資産制度に関するワーキング・グループ」報告におけるDeFiの議論を踏まえ、本セッションでは、DeFiの技術的な特性に即したマネロン・テロ資金供与・拡散金融対策（AML/CFT対策）を探るとともに、国際的な対話の必要性に対する認識を高めます。さらに、プライバシー保護とAML/CFT対策のバランスをいかに図るかという観点から、今後の政策検討に向けた主要な論点を整理します。
