Kazuchika Iwata

State Minister, Financial Services Agency of Japan (JFSA)

Mr. Kazuchika Iwata is the State Minister of the Cabinet Office for Financial Services in Japan. He has previously served as Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Defense, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, and State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry.
He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2012 and has since been elected six times.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law, Kyushu University, in 1996.
He has played a leading role in policy discussions particularly in the fields of energy, national security, and startups.
