IOSCO Fintech Task Force Panel – Keeping Pace with Evolving Trends in Crypto-asset Markets, AI and Financial Asset Tokenization

Having finalized the two sets of policy recommendations for Crypto and Digital Assets (CDA) and Decentralized Finance (DeFi), the IOSCO FinTech Task Force (FTF) has switched gears to support IOSCO members on the implementation of the CDA Recommendations. In addition, the FTF continues with its policy focus on other major technological trends and developments in financial markets relating to “artificial intelligence” and “financial asset tokenization”.

This panel will first discuss how IOSCO is promoting implementation of the IOSCO CDA and DeFi policy recommendations. Following, the panel will provide insights into the FTF’s work on the role and use cases of artificial intelligence and tokenization in financial markets, as well as issues, risks and challenges these developments bring about.
