Throughout his 40-year career, Mr. Katayama’s focus has been on the research and strategy behind the governance of new technologies in financial services. Mr. Katayama has worked on projects across the world to study and propose best practices, and has recently been focusing on virtual assets, stablecoins and CBDC, serving as a member of multiple working groups in Asia Pacific, and speaking/presenting at events hosted by regulator/central bank, industry forums and major financial institutions.
