Kimihiro Mine

After graduating from Hitotsubashi University Faculty of Law in 1991, I embarked on a career in the financial industry. I began my journey at the Industrial Bank of Japan (now Mizuho Bank) and eventually rose to an executive position at Matsui Securities, SBI E-Trade Securities (now SBI Securities), and Monex, Inc. During my tenure at Monex, I played an instrumental role in the management of Coincheck as one of its executive officers. My efforts resulted in Coincheck's registration as a crypto asset exchange business and the lifting of the business improvement order.

With my extensive experience in the industry, I assumed the role of President and Representative Director of bitFlyer Inc. in March 2020. Since then, I have been leading the crypto asset and blockchain industry as a thought leader. In June of the same year, I was appointed Chairman of the Japan Crypto Asset Traders Association.

Although I stepped down as Representative Director of the company in March 2021, I remained active in the industry. In September 2021, I established finoject Inc. to provide consulting services for Fintech, crypto assets, blockchain, and other startup companies.
I was appointed as a DX promotion advisor in Ureshino City, Saga Prefecture, my hometown, in March 2024.
I was appointed as a Authorized expert in NewsPicks Japan in March 2025.

Over the years, I have assisted companies in a variety of sectors, including finance, telecommunications, IT, and manufacturing, and at various stages of development, from small start-ups to some of Japan's largest companies.
